Solicitation Announcement for Automobile Partner of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai China

In order to successfully host the World Expo 2010 Shanghai China(hereinafter referred to as the “Expo 2010”), the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination (hereinafter referred to as the “Expo Bureau”) hereby publicly solicits Automobile Partner of the Expo 2010 (hereinafter referred to as the “Automobile Partner”).

We hereby make the following announcement:

  I                     Content of Solicitation

1.  Candidates: Any automobile enterprise engaging in the manufacture and service of automobiles that is established, registered and duly operating in accordance with laws of the People’s Republic of China is qualified as a Candidate for Automobile Partner for the Expo 2010 (hereinafter referred to as the “Intended Candidate”).

2.    Scope of Solicitation: Any type of automobile excluding trucks, vehicles and motorcycles.

  II                  Requirements for Candidate

1.        Intended Candidate should be able to contribute sufficient fund, automobile and related services to meet the demands of Expo Bureau;

2.        Intended Candidate should possess outstanding economic strength, technical and service capabilities;

3.    The management goal and culture of Intended Candidates should keep in line with the theme and culture of Expo 2010. Intended Candidates should enjoy positive social image and good reputation in business;

4.    Each Intended Candidate shall designate the main and single brand for which it intends to acquire marketing rights.

  III               Procedure

1.        The Expo Bureau will issue this Solicitation Announcement; the detailed Request for Intention may be downloaded from the official website of Expo 2010: www.expo2010china.com.

2.        Intended Candidates shall submit to the Bureau all application documents according to the requirements of time, means and content as described in the Request for Intention. Belated submission shall be deemed invalid.

3.        The Expo Bureau, upon revision, shall notify the qualified Candidates in writing and shall issue to them the Request for Proposal within fifteen working days.

4.        Candidates shall submit their Proposals in accordance with the provisions in the Request for Proposal. Belated submission shall be deemed invalid.

5.        The Expo Bureau shall review the submitted Proposals, select several Candidates, conduct negotiations regarding the agreement, and finally determine the successful Candidate.
