World Expo Net August 19: In the future, Shanghai is to set up a number of
specialized agencies. It will recruit all kinds of World Expo talent via the
Internet, on-the-spot employment and other channels and engage a top-notch head
hunting team to seek talent throughout the world.
Yesterday, a “Work
Plan for Servicing World Expo” announced by the Shanghai Municipal Talent
Service Center revealed that over the next 3 to 5 years, Shanghai will carry out
a number of HR assistance and training projects and construct a platform for the
gathering, regulating and exchange of human resources. It will make use of the
Internet, domestic and foreign talent exchange systems and nationwide HR
networks to ensure adequate supply of human resources for World Expo.
The Center manager said that in the next 3 to 5 years, the Center will
create a top-notch head hunting team. It will cooperate with specialized foreign
HR consultant institutions to introduce urgently needed professionals from
overseas.
He said that the head hunting group will be formed by industry
experts who possess the right channels, experience and who have proved
themselves through successful cases. People to be hunted will be principally
core talent in the areas of exhibitions, languages, foreign affairs, logistics
and other specialties.
The Center will prepare construction of a
database according to different types of talent, offering recruitment,
employment, job leasing and volunteer services. In the future, the city’s talent
service sub-centers, district and county talent services and talent services
outside Shanghai will also establish registration points for companies and
individuals. We look forward to World Expo talent joining our ranks.
The “Plan” revealed that the Center will also construct an overseas
specialist and executive talent data base in order to provide HR services and
handle Shanghai residence permits for the latter.
