The activity of solicit articles around the theme of "Welcome World Expo-Shanghai and International Amity Cities" began from May, 2004 and was received warmly among the middle school students of Shanghai. This activity required the students to send a message representing Shanghai about Shanghai World Expo 2010 to other international amity cities, and then write an article to describe the message. 420 articles were handed in and 5 of them were selected to be the Excellent Articles.
