The human resource development catalog for Shanghai Expo, which has drawn a great many eyeballs so far, will be made to public as early as this year, told an insider recently.

It is expected to give clear guidance to all the related HR training courses and exams.

The Expo bureau and municipal personnel administration will grant those professional exam-passers with special certificates, and all of them will be packaged for the coming Expo.

A NPC deputy Wan proposed that action should be done to train as many professionals as possible just because the Expo will last for half of a year, and only volunteers are far from enough.

Currently the Expo bureau has just finished a preliminary program, and has recruited a few experts in event organizing, Wan added.

The catalog has been sketched and it will probably be published this May or June, revealed an official from the Expo bureau. Specialists in large event organizing are in need urgently now, he added.

“We have divided Expo talents into five levels, that’s to say, the experts, specialists, professionals, volunteers, and all the rest of local residents; they will work organically together just as a pyramid for the preparations, ” said Tao Xianshen, vice director of the Shanghai Expo HR development center.

He also revealed the bureau will launch a training course in large event organizing this April.
