As revealed by the transportation sector of the city, buses in Shanghai will be upgraded and all buses traveling downtown will be equipped with air conditioning. Moreover, a beneficial program is under planning in order to cut citizens’transportation expenses and meanwhile satisfy their demand for air-conditioned buses.

The beneficial program, covering all air-conditioned buses, is scheduled to be put into implementation in the near future. As the program goes, passengers taking the first bus and paying the original price by card can enjoy a discount when change to another air-conditioned bus within 2-5 hours.

The new buses, adopting more reasonable design and with 6-year warranty, are expected to be more comfortable for passengers.
