After examination and appraisal, experts say that the geological survey project of Expo site was fruitful with distinctive characteristics. The two projects both used digital technology and were innovative in setting up 3-D visual geological structure models.

The survey has summarized the feature of geological structure and the geological conditions concerning the construction. It made an appropriateness evaluation based on the characteristics of underground space development of the Expo site. The effect of ground sinking on the construction site was also investigated. The comprehensive survey provided reliable materials for such tasks as maintenance and renovation of anti-flood wall.
