At the Contest of Shanghai Cuisine Innovation, sponsored by Shanghai Cuisine Association, chefs from the city put into full play their skills and innovation to present tantalizing courses .

Registration for the contest began from July 11th and so far hundreds of chefs from different restaurants havesigned up. The whole contest lasts for two months and 20 dishes are selected every week. The final round comes in September when a total of 50 courses will be selected and find their way into the book of Shanghai Cuisine For A Century which is a gift to Shanghai Expo.
