Great business opportunities open tomorrow for managements who want to be involved in investment supervision of construction companies engaged in building Expo 2010 facilities and infrastructure.

The bidding for the right to supervise the companies covers three parts of the overall building plan: the pump and gate construction at Bailianjing in Pudong; the building of the Expo axis and the underground site; and, part of the road construction and the building of some facilities in Puxi.

The large-scale construction projects needed for the Expo site will require the cooperative efforts and support of qualified investment supervision management companies.

Under the main building plan, construction starts with the renovation of roads and the building parkland, followed by the flood-control wall, then the underground site and location of pipes. All the construction projects are to be carried out in succession.

The construction of the parklands and flood-control wall will take place in two stages. The first will be over this winter to next spring and the second from the winter of 2007 to the spring of 2008. The other projects will start this October with related supply services including electricity, water, telecommunications and gas under construction simultaneously.
