Written By: Luo Haizhou

Even before you step into Home of the Globe, the blue and orange colors surrounding the venue have caught your attention already. The logo of Home of the Globe is composed of the two colors, and the venue itself is divided into blue and orange colored areas. Blue represents "Wisdom of Nature", while orange stands for human "imagination and vitality". The merge of the two colors symbolizes the intimate relations between man and nature, and also reveals the concept that the future of mankind full of imagination and vitality must coexist with the great nature.

Following the guide, you first enter the laser fantasy theater in the blue colored area. Here in the theater hall which can accommodate more than 900 spectators audience can see the world biggest super seamless wide screen, about 50 meters wide and 10 meters high, exactly 2005 inches. Since laser with extremely high color purity is used to serve as the light source, the audience can still enjoy movies with clear and accurate pictures, which are by no means impaired by the super large screen. On the contrary, the fresh and flowery colors perfectly demonstrate "the scenes of present earth and mankind".

Pictures in the movie have fully utilized the advantage of the grand screen, showing the magnificent natural vigor, such as mountains, prairies, forests, rivers, as well as natural phenomenon like wind, frost, rain and snow, the sun, the moon, days and nights, and four seasons in a year. For example, the green waves of big forests blown in the wind roll from one end of the screen, roaring to the other end, followed by heavy rains and rising water mists. Audience will be convinced by the overwhelming beauties and strengths of the nature by unprecedented visual strikes from this extremely broad vision.

After showing the natural scenes, a cry is heard and a baby emerges, forming a sharp contrast between the huge screen and the tiny baby. However, along with increasing of cries, more and the baby come forth and soon occupy the whole screen, which vividly addresses the issue between man and nature, and the meaning of the movie speaks for itself.

Just as visitors are surprised by the magnificent visions of the 2005 inch screen, the orange colored exposition area brings different visual wonders --- 600 inch "Super HDTV", 4,000 scan lines, almost four times higher than ordinary HDTV. Viewing images on this big screen, even the most tiny details are shown clearly. Imagine you are a hummer facing sunflower just in front of you. The whole picture demonstrates the finest parts. Additionally, the 22.2 track acoustic system gives you the shaking force, making people imagine and enjoy the great natural beauties with brand new visual and audio experiences.

The novelty experiences at Home of the Globe are far more than above. Following the visitors, you can finally find the main character printed on various publications --- the frozen skeleton sample of the mammoth discovered in the permanent frozen earth of Siberia.

As the theme exposition venue of this World Expo, Home of the Globe also gathers precious exhibits from various countries, collected in the "Global Show Case" in the orange colored area. Here you can see the harmonious relations between man and nature since a long time ago.

I believe that every single visitor walks out of Home of the Globe with a strong sense of satisfaction and a feel of pity, since on one hand you have witnessed the great collection of history, but on the other hand you can not exhaust human cultures and natural wonders within dozens of minutes. The visual and audio impact, time and space explorations lead us to understand the main theme of the World Expo: "Wisdom of the Nature".
