A leading domestic logistics corporation has signed a project sponsorship deal with Shanghai World Expo organizers today in Beijing.

China National Foreign Trade Transportation (Group) Corporation (Sinotrans)，a comprehensive logistics services provider with business in several overseas countries, is the first sponsor in the logistics field confirmed by Shanghai Expo organizers.

Sinotrans will support World Expo Shanghai 2010 with reliable and efficient logistics services and a wide-ranging operational network, said Miao Gengshu, chairman of Sinotrans, at the signing ceremony.

Shanghai Expo will select two to three companies as logistics services providers. Sinotrans is the first confirmed logistics sponsor.

The 58-year-old Sinotrans has served as logistics general agents in several large-scale sporting events in the past, including the 11th Asian Games and the Chinese Grand Prix for Formula One. It has also won the senior sponsorship of the Chinese Olympic Committee.
