China State Shipbuilding Corporation has confirmed it will build a shipping pavilion on the banks of Huangpu River at World Expo 2010.

The pavilion will make use of some historical buildings on a plot which once housed the 142-year-old Jiangnan Shipyard. The original shipyard has been relocated to Changxing Island.

The corporation boasts vast experience in building various kinds of warships and auxiliary vessels as well as related equipment for the Chinese navy.

It is the 13th corporate pavilion confirmed for Expo.
