An Expo Village will be situated in the subsidiary section to the east of the enclosed area in the Pudong New Area. It covers an area of 35 hectares with a total construction area of 540,000 square meters. It is designed to accommodate 10,000 people at the same time. Physically, the centre of the Expo Village is about 1 kilometre from the centre of Zone A, 2 kilometres from the centre of Zone B, 3 kilometres from the centre of Zone C in the Pudong Section, 1 kilometre from the centre of Zone D in the Puxi Section across the Huangpu River, and 2 kilometres from the centre of Zone E in the Puxi Section across the Huangpu River. The centre of the Expo Village is about 0.5 kilometre from the entrance near the Bailianjing Rivulet in the east of Zone A and 2 kilometres from the main entrance of the Expo.
