World Expo Shanghai organisers today launched a hotline to provide
Expo-related services in both Chinese and English to the public.
The 962010 Expo hotline is operated by Shanghai Telecom, part of China
Telecom who became an official partner of the event last September.
The hotline is expected to grow to provide a multi-language service,
including the addition of French.
Callers can also consult experts about site construction, marketing plans and
participation services or register as Expo volunteers or take part in Expo
knowledge contests and win prizes.
The 962010 hotline, as the sole official service line, will cooperate with
the 962288 Shanghai Call Center to provide plenty of local information.
Zhong Yanqun, fulltime deputy director of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai
Executive Committee, Hong Hao, director of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo
Coordination, Huang Jianzhi, deputy director of the Bureau of Shanghai World
Expo Coordination and Zhang Weihua, chairman of Shanghai Telecom attended
the launching ceremony for the hotline.
