The city's delegation meets officials of United Nations Human Settlements Programme in Nairobi

Yang Xiong, a member of the Organizing Committee of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai, executive deputy director of the Executive Committee of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai and the city's vice mayor, visited yesterday the headquarters of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme in Nairobi, capital of Kenya.

Yang is in Kenya to encourage the country to take part in the Expo.

UNHABITAT is the organisation assigned by the UN to help others participate World Expo 2010 Shanghai.

Yang and representatives of UNHABITAT agreed to collaborate closely in the realm of the UN's participation in Expo 2010, the building of a zone representing the ideal city and high-level summits of the Expo.
