A Shanghai Expo delegation is visiting France to discuss participation of its regions in the World Expo 2010. They met officials of the Rhone-Alps region in Lyon.

The delegation is led by Zhou Hanmin, deputy director general of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination. Chinese and French officials discussed the participation of the city of Valence, southeast France on the Rhone River, in the Expo's Urban Best Practices Area.

The Expo theme is "Better City, Better Life."

The Expo delegation visited the city’s green buildings, environmental protection project and transport. The group also toured Lyon, took the city’s modern transport and visited its green buildings

Valence city leaders will visit Shanghai in May for detailed talks with Expo organizers.
