A delegation from Dominica yesterday visited the Bureau of Shanghai World
Expo Coordination, to talk about preparations for the event.
Huang Yaocheng, deputy director of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo
Coordination, met the delegation led by Juan Gilberto Serulle.
Huang provided an update of preparations for Shanghai Expo. He said Expo 2010
will be the largest exposition in history and brings China many opportunities as
well as challenges. The event is expected to attract about 70 million visitors.
Huang also said the event offers a platform for the entire world to
communicate and brings many chances for different countries to cooperate.
He also expressed his hope that Dominica will confirm its participation soon.
He said Shanghai Expo organisers can provide financial aid to developing
countries.
Serulle thanked Huang. He said Expo 2010 is dedicated to people and will have
great significance. Dominica will keep in close contact with the organisers to
know better about the event.
